Mike Bing

Mike Bing started his career in Customs at the Israeli department of Customs and Excise in the port of Haifa in 1984. Mike served the department for almost 8 years in various positions with all departments in several air and ocean ports as well as serving on the Classification and Valuation tribunal committee of the Tax department.

 

After returning to his native Holland, Mike worked for several logistics companies, both national and international like UPS(US) and NEC Logistics(JP) as an International Trade Compliance specialist and import logistics manager, but finally came back to Customs consultancy at Port Support International.

​

Mike worked in Global, EMEA and European Customs compliance related roles for multinational industrial companies such as Delphi Automotive, General Electric and Diageo, the world’s largest premium spirits group.

 

Over the last years, Mike has been deeply involved in Customs-related IT projects, risk management and monitoring, AI support and the implementation of the EU's new eCommerce Customs regulations.
