Vaccine Export Control prolonged
COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING REGULATION (EU) 2021/734 of 5 May 2021 amending Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/521 making specific arrangements to the mechanism making certain products subject to the production of an export authorisation. It shall apply until 30 June 2021
Syria Sanctions
The EU has replaced entry 36 to Nizar AL-ASSAD of Annex II to Regulation (EU) No 36/2012 by Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/743 of 6 May 2021 implementing Regulation (EU) No 36/2012 concerning restrictive measures because of the situation in Syria n Section. Nizar Assaad (in Arabic نزار اسعد) is a Canadian construction engineer of Syrian origin residing in Beirut, Lebanon and Dubai, UAE. He is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of LEAD Contracting & Trading Ltd, an industrial construction company operating throughout the Middle East and North Africa. LEAD is specialised in oil and gas contracting and petrochemical facilities, including treatment plants, power plants, electro-mechanical construction services, pipelines, and large-scale civil construction and engineering projects. the company is registered in Jebel Ali Free Zone in UAE. Nizar Assaad is considered to be a leading figure in the Construction and Petrochemical Industry. His listing means that there is a restriction on trading with him in the European Union.

SI 2021/550 - The Trade Act 2021 (Commencement No. 1 and Expiry Provision) Regulations 2021
These Regulations bring into force provisions of the Trade Act 2021 (c. 10) (“the Act”), the Bill for which received Royal Assent on 29th April 2021. Provisions are being introduced in stages:
· Provisions of the Act coming into force on 6th May 2021
· Provisions of the Act coming into force on 1st June 2021
· Provisions of the Act coming into force on 30th June 2021

Change made: The Tariff Volume 3 Great Britain Supplement CDS and CHIEF has been updated to notify interim requirements when entering certain document codes in CDS, when a waiver is claimed or an open licence is being declared.

Part 1 Tariff Supplement for CDS Volume 3 for the Northern Ireland Protocol page has been updated with an amendment for Interim requirements for waivers/exempt goods. Part 2 CDS Declaration Completion Requirements for The Northern Ireland Protocol page has been updated with Interim Declaration completion requirements for agri-food movements.
