Why Did HMRC Remove Document Code 9L51?
In a swift regulatory move, His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) quietly eliminated the general trade license indicator document code 9L51 from the vast majority of Chapter 27 petroleum measures. Moving forward, only three highly specific commodity codes covering diesel and jet fuel derived from Russian crude oil are permitted to retain code 9L51.
