Dual-Use Items are goods, software or technology that can be used for both civilian and military purposes. Although they may have legitimate commercial or industrial applications, certain items are subject to export controls because of their potential military, security or other sensitive uses. Their export may require authorisation depending on their classification, destination, end-user and intended end-use.
