ROSA is an interactive self-assessment tool that simplifies the process of determining whether a product meets the Rules of Origin requirements under EU trade agreements. It’s free, easy to use, and available through the My Trade Assistant platform.

How Does ROSA Work?
1️⃣ Enter the following details:
Product type (commodity code)
Country of export
Country of import
2️⃣ Click ‘Search’ – ROSA will generate the applicable Rules of Origin and tariff preferences for your product.

How does it work?
Go to My Trade Assistant on the DG Trade website:
Enter
the product
the country of export
the country of import
and click search.
The results you see are, for example:
A very nice display of how the commodity code gets "constructed", with perfect indentation.
How can I see the Rules of Origin?
Scroll down and click on ROSA on the left.
In order to qualify for the lower or zero preferential tariffs under the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement, the product must originate in the EU or the United Kingdom. Rosa can be used by both exporters/producers and their suppliers to assess whether this product fulfils the rules of origin and can therefore be considered as originating.
