EU-US Trade

Automotive tariffs cut from 27.5% to 15% as of 1 August 2025 (savings €500m/month).

Mutual Recognition & Certification

EU-Canada AEO Mutual Recognition Agreement enters into force.
Updated UK guidance on AEO certification (application, compliance, recognition).

CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism)

Simplification measures advance, incl. 50-tonne exemption threshold.
Commission adopts CBAM country benchmarking (low/standard/high risk tiers).
