The EU has put forward landmark trade agreements with Mercosur and Mexico, opening vast new opportunities but sparking protests and strong resistance from European farmers.
The U.S. has granted the EU a flat 15% tariff on agri-food exports, restoring predictability to transatlantic trade.
Irish attempts to impose trade restrictions on Israel have been dismissed, with the Commission reaffirming its exclusive competence over EU trade policy.
French Customs has completed the ICS2 and ANTES rollout, while CLECAT warns of looming chaos at land borders and the Commission concedes a patchwork of derogations.
Meanwhile, the EU Commission has published details on ICS2 Release 3 – Transitional Arrangements and Derogations
Moldovan agricultural exports continue to benefit from extended full liberalisation under autonomous trade measures, aiding their EU accession path.
The European Parliament has endorsed the extension of exceptional trade measures for the Western Balkans, guaranteeing continued tariff-free access until 2030.
The EU has renewed one key feed additive and authorised another, bolstering safety and sustainability in the food chain.
The UK has aligned its commodity code structure with the EU, overhauled excise coverage, and updated guidance on GVMS, Internal Market Scheme, and customs declarations.
